Manage, coach, develop, and train a team of distinguished event staff to meet Division and enterprise income goals; ensures that responsibilities and accountability of all direct reports are well-defined, and that staff are adequately involved prior to and during events. Accountable for management and delivery of income performance targets for assigned staff team and their respective portfolios of distinguished events including galas, golf and other social events. Works within and across Divisions to maintain distinguished event program standards, achieving high recruiting levels, volunteer leader and laureate member retention rates, and delivering against the enterprise strategy by meeting/exceeding recruiting and revenue goals.
Develops, oversees and provides input on strategic planning and goal setting for distinguished events staff/portfolios, including volunteer committee recruitment, management and succession planning; event execution and growth; communications, and evaluation. Collaborates within Market teams and internal departments including Corporate Relations, Major Gifts, Community Engagement, Health Systems and ACS CAN advocacy staff to meet shared objectives and goals and market priorities. Collaborates with Major Gift’s staff on the cultivation and stewardship of existing and prospective donors and potential Laureate Society members of high net worth that engage with the ACS through DE. Foster team building mindset with assigned staff.
Builds strong relationships and directly collaborates with Corporate & Distinguished Partners staff to leverage external affiliations, sponsorships and volunteer engagement through DE. Foster account planning and team building mindset among assigned staff team. Supports the VP, Corporate & Distinguished Partners to ensure mission, top line, and bottom line goals are reached as well as compliance with enterprise policies. Assist in long term strategic planning to ensure growth through DE.
